2009 Committee Members

 
Atty. Murphy F. Bell, Jr., Co-Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, is a member of the SU Board of Supervisors and a partner in the law firm of Jackson and Bell Attorneys at Law.  

Atty. Domoine Rutledge, Co-Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, is the National President of the Southern University Alumni Federation and General Counsel for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.

Mr. Matthew Butler is Vice President of Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure.

Atty. Walter Dumas is a member of the SU Board of Supervisors and Chair of the Board’s Personnel Affairs Committee.  He is also Senior Attorney in the Dumas and Associates Law Firm.

Dr. Raymond Lockett is veteran professor of History at Southern University and is the current Chair of the University’s Department of History. 

Mrs. Gloria Moultrie is Vice Chancellor for Community and Alumni Affairs at Southern University at New Orleans.

 Mr. Theron Jackson is Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and University Relations on the Southern University – Shreveport Campus.

Ms. Raushanah S. Hunter is the 2009-2010 Student Member on the Board of Supervisors and is a third - year student at the Southern University Law Center.

Mr. Donald Wade is the former National President of the Southern University Alumni Federation and former Director of Alumni Affairs at Southern University – Baton Rouge. 

Mr. Adam Knapp is the Director of the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Linda Antoine is the Director of Purchasing for the Southern University – Baton Rouge Campus.

Dr. Sandra Brown is a Professor in the School of Nursing on the Southern University – Baton Rouge Campus.

Atty. Michael Jackson is a Louisiana State Representative for District #61 and Partner in the Jackson & Bell Law Firm.

Dr. Sudhir Trivedi is the Faculty Senate President for the Southern University – Baton Rouge Campus, and Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Southern University – Baton Rouge.

Prof. John K. Pierre is the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Accountability and Evening Division, Southern University Law Center.

Dr. Elton C. Harrison, of Baton Rouge, is a former member of the SU Board of Supervisors and retired Administrator of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Southern University at New Orleans and Dillard University.
